Aviation-themed eatery opens in John Glenn International Airport
If you’re traveling through John Glenn Columbus International Airport this holiday season, you’re lucky enough to have a new dining and drinking option, one that’s fittingly airplane-themed.
Hangar 815 is now officially open for business inside the airport. One of only two eateries located in John Glenn’s ticket lobby, Hangar 815 is open Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The eatery aims to blend “modern flavors with aviation history,” and does so by making nods to a variety of local flight-related legends such as the Tuskegee Airmen. The 815 is a reference to the city’s height above sea level.

Hangar 815 also offers bar service.
The eatery, according to the airport’s website, is a new concept from HMSHost, a company specializing in creating restaurants within travel venues. Other restaurants in John Glenn Columbus International Airport, such as American Craft Tavern, are also HMS concepts.
