If you’re one of the many fans of Threes Above High, the popular campus-area bar with a long line of similarly-named spinoffs, you’re going to want to make a toast when you hear this: Threes Above owners are launching another brand-new bar just down High Street, called Fives Up High.

Located at 2375 N. High St. tthe new concept will be “only 420 steps up the street from Thr3es,” according to an Instagram post from Threes Above High. Although Too’s Spirits Under High shuttered several years ago, Fives Up High joins a pair of other sister bars, including Threes Above High and Fours on High.

The spot will hold a grand opening event on Jan. 5 at 5 p.m.

According to a Threes Above High owner Scott Ellsworth, the new bar will have a similar layout to Fours on High, which is roughly half the size of the larger Threes Above.

And luckily for fans of Threes Above and Fours on High, patrons can expect a lot of the same authentic fun that these bars provide at Fives Up High.

“We definitely have a simple concept that started with Toos and has worked well at Thr3es and Fours,” Ellsworth said. “If it ain’t broke.”
