SoupWeek is coming
Columbus, you know we take our soup seriously.
So imagine our elation when we heard that Columbus will be celebrating its first-ever SoupWeek Jan. 31 through Feb. 6.
The festivities are a result of adjusting the 2021 edition of SoupFest to be pandemic-friendly. Instead of an in-person event, SoupWeek is designed to be an at-home celebration. Over 50 local Columbus restaurants will be serving up their soups for the occasion, according to a recent release. The event also features a virtual SoupBox fundraiser and an Instagram Live concert series.

This year, fundraising will support The Miklós Battaglia Fund, named for the organization’s late co-founder, Nick “Miklós” Battaglia. Last year with help from SoupFest 2020, the fund was able to donate over $12,000 to community efforts related to food scarcity and homelessness.
Proceeds from SoupBox fundraising packages and the SoupFest concert series will go to Neighborhood Services, Inc., a Columbus-based food pantry.
