This specialty pizza is staying on the market long-term

It’s a pizza unlike any other, and it’s here to stay.

Yellow Brick Pizza announced via its social media that its Tiger-style pizza the eatery launched last month in pop-up format at Short North Tavern will be available full-time beginning April 28.

The Pie of the Tiger pizza is entirely its own animal (pardon the pun): It has elements of Detroit and Sicilian pies, square-cut with a thick (yet light and fluffy) crust and provolone cheese. The sauce is thick with lots of basil.

Yellow Brick co-owner Faith Pierce said the eatery was overwhelmed by the positive support from the community and the Short North Tavern.

“It was more successful than we could have hoped,” she said. “Making Tiger Pizza permanent inside the Short North Tavern just makes sense for us and for them. We are super excited, and we hope this is the beginning of something great.”

Since unveiling the new style, Yellow Brick has introduced a handful of varieties, including Margherita (garlic, provolone, tomatoes, ricotta, Italian seasoning, and pesto), Meatball Sundae (provolone, slices of house-made meatballs, shaved parmesan, red sauce, ricotta, and Italian seasoning) and Dill Thrill (garlic, provolone, dill pickles, Old Bay Hot Sauce, and ranch dressing).

There was even Taco Tiger Pizza, featuring provolone cheese, roasted chicken, jalapeños, black olives, tomatoes, cotija, and essence of taco with avocado crema.
