Authentic Mexican dessert shop opening second location on southwest side

True its name, the new Saraga International Grocery store on the city’s Southwest Side will feature a massive food court-style collection of international eateries shortly. One of the storefronts in this new marketplace will be the second location of authentic Mexican dessert shop Bakery 3 Espigas de Guadalajara.

The new Saraga International Grocery is located at 2800 S. Hamilton Rd. 

According to a Bakery 3 Espigas de Guadalajara employee, the eatery is likely to open this spring, although no exact date was given.

Bakery 3 Espigas de Guadalajara first opened in 2020 at 4030 W. Broad St., in the Hilltop neighborhood’s Sunrise International Market. Both locations will continue to operate.

Patrons can purchase a variety of baked goods, like Mexican doughnuts, cookies, sweet breads, and even cakes, in addition to a variety of flan and cheesecakes.
