Experience Columbus launches new Columbus Style Pizza Trail
While the Columbus Ale Trail is great, and the Distillery Trail is worth a weekend jaunt, we’ll push anything aside for pizza.
And now, a brand-new trail will be highlighting the very best of Columbus Style pies.
The Columbus Style Pizza Trail, created by Experience Columbus, has curated a list of 18 iconic pizzerias serving up the thin, square-cut slices that embody Columbus style pizza. The trail, which is free, uses a digital pass, letting participants check in to restaurants on their phones. The trail will officially begin this Saturday.

There are 18 stops along the new Columbus Style Pizza Trail, including Gatto’s Pizza, Grandad’s Pizza, JT’s Pizza, TAT Ristorante Di Famiglia and more. You can find the full list of participating eateries here.
“We’re thrilled to launch the new Columbus-Style Pizza Trail and showcase our city’s unique and delicious style of pizza,” Michelle Wilson, ACA, Director of Visitor Experience at Experience Columbus said in a press release. “When you say New York, Chicago and Detroit pizza, many people have an image of what that means. While Columbus-style may be less familiar for some, it’s not new. This thin-crust edge-to-edge style has been around for more than 85 years, and many local businesses have been perfecting their pies for several generations. The pizzas may look similar in the crusts and cuts, but the flavors are unique to each location, and we’re confident trailgoers will enjoy every bite along the way.”
Checking in at four stops for dine-in or carry-out (delivery orders do not count toward the trail) will earn you a Columbus Style Pizza Trail t-shirt, and if you stop at every location within one year, you’ll receive a stainless-steel pizza cutter and hot pad. Let’s hit the trail!
