Longstanding Columbus-area pizzeria to temporarily close after car drives into side of building
Even for businesses like Pataskala’s Capuano’s Pizza House, which has operated since 1977–the better part of fifty years—there’s a first for everything.
On Saturday, the side of the pizzeria was struck by a vehicle, forcing it to temporarily close.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had a driver hit our building tonight,” a statement posted to Capuano’s social media pages reads. “Gratefully no one was hurt. We will be closed until inspected.”

This is the second time since the beginning of 2022 that a Columbus-area restaurant has been struck by a vehicle. TAT Ristorante di Famiglia, a popular Italian spot on the East Side of Columbus, was the victim of a similar incident last month. TAT has since reopened.
