Longstanding Grandview coffee shop announces permanent closure, will be replaced by Boston Stoker

Grandview is losing a longtime coffee shop, but the void is being filled by another Ohio-based coffee concept.

Last week, Luck Bros’ Coffee House–which has been located at 1101 W. 1st St. since 2006–announced in an email to customers that its doors will remain closed permanently. Luck Bros went on a temporary hiatus in October of last year.

Taking its place will be another Ohio-based coffee shop. The Luck Bros’ site is becoming a new Boston Stoker Coffee Company location.

According to a statement posted to Boston Stoker’s social media accounts, its new Grandview location is slated to open this winter.

“Andy [Luck] has done a fantastic job serving the Grandview community and we will carry the torch forward,” the statement reads.

Boston Stoker, which first opened in Dayton in1973, is a family-owned coffee operation, similar to Luck Bros’. The company has multiple locations throughout the state of Ohio, including one other in Columbus, at 771 Neil. Ave. in Harrison West.
