Certified sommelier launching new craft beer and wine store in Linworth

An old name in the world of Columbus libations is embarking on a brand-new venture.

Aardvark Beer & Wine, a new craft beer and wine bottle shop, is coming to Linworth. It will be owned and operated by former House Wine owner (and certified sommelier) Donnie Austin and his wife Megan Cavanaugh.

The new concept will be located at 2355 W. Dublin-Granville Rd., the current home of JT’s Grab & Go.

According to a press release, JT’s Grab & Go will close in the coming weeks before handing over the reins to Aardvark, which is slated to open in full this fall. The move will allow Joe Harnett, the owner of JT’s Grab & Go and the nearby JT’s Pizza & Pub, to focus on his pizzeria.

“This agreement will allow JT’s leadership and our team to focus on our core business and what we do best for our customers while Donnie will bring his passion and knowledge for wine and beer to share with the area,” Hartnett said in the press release. “This is a win for everybody involved.”

While the new store will make sure to curate top-tier beverage options, it will focus on accessibility as well, as most of its bottles of wine will be priced between $10 and $30.

“We want our neighbors and friends to drink great wine without necessarily spending more. People have come to trust me with putting the right bottles in their hands and at their tables, whether it’s a dinner for two, a backyard barbecue, or a party for 200 of your closest friends,” Austin said in a press release.
