New York style Korean fried chicken spot opens in Columbus Food Hall

Columbus is mad for chicken. And that’s why Mad for Chicken has come to Columbus.

The Brooklyn-based spot for Korean fried chicken—which claims to serve up the popular Korean dish “New York style”—has now officially opened a Columbus Ghost within the Columbus Food Hall, a collection of more than 30 commercial kitchens offering only pickup and delivery from the space.

Columbus Food Hall is located at 1282 Essex Ave. in the Milo-Grogan Neighborhood.

The ghost kitchen officially opened in late January.

Diners can grab a variety of starters, such as Parmesan, sweet potato, and truffle fries, and chicken by the piece can be ordered with soy garlic, spicy garlic or half and half sauce.

Mad for Chicken boasts 15 other locations nationally, the majority of which are in New York State. The Columbus Food Hall ghost kitchen is the only Mad for Chicken location in Ohio.
