After reopening 4 months ago, this popular restaurant is closing permanently this week
Unfortunately, we’re about to break some vegan hearts after they just spent the past year healing.
A year ago, E Burger (once called Eden Burger) closed permanently, citing issues with a lawsuit and staffing shortages. Of course, this being one of the best spots in Columbus for vegan chick’n tenders and burgers, it caused a lot of disappointment. Heartbreak, even.
But then 4 months ago, they announced a resurrection via Instagram, fulfilling Columbus’ vegan community once again.
We’re sad to say that E Burger, located at 1437 N. High St., has yet again announced that they’re closing – this time, for good, according to an employee and social media post that hinted at their closure.

Yesterday, December 10th, E Burger posted a picture of their hours for their last week, with a caption that says, “Hey y’all, we are taking a break. Sunday, December 17th will be our last day. Let us know if your vegan business is looking for a space. Thank you for the love and happy holidays.”
Although the post uses the word “taking a break,” employees at E Burger have confirmed that the eatery is closing permanently. An employee told 614Now that most of the staff quit a couple of days ago and left the business with a staffing shortage.
If you’re a die-hard fan of their BBQ Westerns and Tofu Nugs, get ‘em while you can. Here’s a breakdown of the hours of their last week:
