While mourning passing of its owner, Columbus eatery visited by popular actor

Following the death of owner Athanasios “Tommy” Pappas last Monday, the employees of Tommy’s Diner received an appreciated boost in morale late last week when a popular actor paid them a visit.

According to a social media post from Tommy’s, actor Danny Trejo patronized Tommy’s, and took the time to pose with staff members and aptrons.

On Dec. 6, the Franklinton restaurant wrote, “Well in a week of sadness, we got to meet @officialdannytrejo,” the post reads. “Thanks for coming in, we hope you enjoyed it.”

A long-time Hollywood actor, Trejo has appeared in shows like “Breaking Bad” and “Son of Anarchy,” movies like “Anaconda,” “Spy Kids,” and even the 2007 “Halloween” remake. He also stars in “Machete” and its sequel, “Machete Kills.”
