Local wood-fired pizza chain opening fourth location
While a popular tavern may have closed, another popular concept is moving right in.
Liberty Tavern, located at 50 S. Liberty St. in Powell, abruptly closed their restaurant on New Years Eve. But soon, you’ll be able to enjoy Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and delicious appetizers.

Elliot’s Wood-Fired Kitchen & Tap currently has locations in Newark, Pataskala, and New Albany, and they’re excited to make their way to Powell in the same building that housed Liberty Tavern, with an expected opening date in mid-April.
The popular Neapolitan-style pizzeria is family owned and operated, first opening in 2017, and quickly becoming popular for not only offering pizzas, but a wide-variety of other options on their menu – bruschetta, Bavarian pretzels, wings, cobb salads, philly cheesesteaks, smash burgers, and even street tacos, too.
