Popular Grandview spot discontinues food counter; made-to-order items
If you’re a fan of peanut butter – and who isn’t? – then you have probably been to Krema Nut Company at 1000 Goodale Blvd, one of the oldest peanut butter companies in the country located right in the Grandview neighborhood.
After offering made-to-order sandwiches and milkshakes in their retail location for years, Krema has announced that their sandwich and shake service will be discontinued as of January 6th, 2025.
In posts on their Facebook and Instagram accounts, Krema expressed that their retail and mail order business has grown, requiring more space for packaged nuts and goodies in their store. We confirmed with Krema via phone that they will no longer offer any made-to-order sandwiches and milkshakes moving forward, and that the counter area will instead be used to shelve and display nut-themed snacks for sale.

The Krema food counter has been closed since November 4th, and did not open back up before permanently closing due to logistical challenges and prioritizing retail demand.
Social media comments ranged from cheerful congrats on the expanded retail and mail business to fond memories that many families have made over the years ordering deluxe peanut butter sandwiches and delicious milkshakes. The Krema Buckeye Milkshake has long been my favorite milkshake in town, and it will be missed!
Krema expressed “We are incredibly grateful for the continued support and loyalty of our small family business and hope you continue to think of us for your retail nut and gifting needs. Thank you for your understanding.”
While this is the end of an era for Krema, the beloved snack shop isn’t going anywhere, and you can still get your favorite snacks at their Grandview location. For more Krema Nut Company updates, follow @kremanutcompany on Instagram.
