What’s for dinner? Escape the kitchen with these holiday dinner kits
Columbus, it’s been a tough year, and we don’t blame you if you want to take it easy.
But just because you’re taking a hiatus from the kitchen doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice flavor. Your family can still dine in style this holiday, courtesy of holiday meal kits from some of Columbus’ top restaurants.
Find some opulent options for your dinner table below, but don’t wait to order. Many of these choices have ordering deadlines. Get cracking!

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants newest venture, CMPE2U, takes their popular catering service and right-sizes it for smaller settings.
CMR’s other outfit, Mitchell’s Ocean Club, is offering customizable holiday packages. Choose a shellfish or sushi platter and top it off with Ocean Prime Carrot Cake with cream cheese icing and pineapple syrup. Toast in style with wine bundles or to-go cocktails.
If you want to spice up your holiday, El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant is offering their build-your-own-taco kit, Taquiza to-go. Orders come with Mexican rice, refried beans, hot sauce, cilantro, lime, and your choice of flour or corn tortillas.
Speck Italian Eatery is partnering with sister restaurant 1808 American Bistro for a holiday dinner kit for two. Main courses can include Milk braised pork shank ossu buco, eggplant parmesan lasagna, herb-baked halibut with crunch butter, and smoked and braised beef short rib. We’re saving room though, for candy cane and dark chocolate bread pudding.
Whitney House’s Take & Bake Holiday Menu includes slow-roasted prime rib, oven-roasted turkey, sliced glazed ham, or chicken pot pie. The eatery is also offering a dinner for two. Move fast on this one, though. Orders have to be placed by 2 p.m. Dec. 17.
Available to preorder until noon Dec. 20, 101 Beer Kitchen’s holiday meal pre-order options include a la carte appetizers, meal packages, breakfast, and beverages.
The Refectory‘s Christmas Home Dinner, which serves two, has to be ordered by Dec. 17. The menu includes house-cured salmon gravlax, mixed green salad, roast prime rib of beef, and triple chocolate torte.
Smith & Wollensky knows that sometimes we all want a dinner with that traditional American steakhouse flair. While diners can order individual prime rib roasts with au jus and horseradish cream and tenderloin roasts with a red wine demiglaze (both require heating at home), the steakhouse is also offering a complete holiday dinner that feeds 4-6 people.
This three course meal from Guild House features a squash salad, your choice of entree (between herb roasted chicken, a butter poached filet, and cauliflower steak), with a trio of sides and a maple mousse sweet potato roll and linzer sable. Order deadline is Dec. 22.
Hen Quarter offers two box options (each requires reheating), which each feature a different entree and an eclectic collection of preset sides and desserts. You’re able to choose from a honey glazed ham served with organic cherry chutney, and chateaubriand with a pinot noir reduction.
This year, The Blackwell Inn is offering prefixed, flat-rate carryout boxes that feed 6-8 people. Diners can select between two roasted chickens or a glazed ham as an entree accompanied by cheesy au gratin, mushroom and manchego dressing potatoes, roasted butternut squash and brussels sprouts, baked brie en croute gravy, dinner rolls, and your choice of apple crumble or blueberry pie for dessert. Order deadline is Dec. 18.
Ray Ray’s Hog Pit is offering everything from smoked pit ham, smoked turkey breast, to smoked brisket, a smoked rib tray, and even smoked lamb leg. Order deadline is Dec. 20.
What we like about this Wolf’s Ridge Brewing menu is its flexibility: Each item is individually priced. With a five-pound lemon-herb chicken as the entree, there’s a slew of classic sides available, plus wine, beer, cocktails, and even their housemade cookie box.
Together & Co. is offering a Christmas dinner for six or a build-your-own dinner with mix and match mains, sides, and desserts. Christmas orders are due by Dec. 19.
