Don’t sleep on this pop-up at the UA Brassica

If you ever dipped your fries in ice cream, you’ll want to jump on this upcoming pop-up.

From 1 to 4 p.m. May 21, food truck Little Ladies Soft Serve will be parked at Brassica, 1442 W. Lane Ave. This means that if you order Brassica fries with your soft serve, you’ll get to level up the fry-ice cream combo of your childhood.

“It’s everything we remember,” said Lydia Chambers, who co-owns Little Ladies Soft Serve with her husband, Will Chambers. “But better, obviously.”

You can channel those memories with a vanilla, chocolate, or twist soft serve cone, or try a one of a variety of sundae options: There’s the Ida, (featuring Fruity Pebbles, white chocolate crumble, strawberry cookie stick, and marshmallow sauce), and the Myra (featuring crushed mint-chocolate cookies, mini mint chips, and hot fudge), for starters.

Little Ladies also offers a monthly special. This month’s is the Ruby, featuring strawberry compote, candied pretzels, and a strawberry shortcake crumble. Chambers said she plans to make a special sundae for the Brassica pop-up as well.

Launched in 2018, Little Ladies has enjoyed a steady increase in business after a slow start, Chambers said.

Now, Chambers said she’d like to do more pop-ups at Brassica as the summer progresses, possibly on evenings in July and August.

“We’re going to try it out and see how it goes,” she said. “I’m obsessed with their food.”
